Holidaymakers and businessmen alike will be greeted by a comprehensive selection of ground transport when flying into Nashville International Airport (BNA).

Buses, hotel shuttles, car rental, limousines, shared-ride vans and taxis are all on hand to transport you into downtown Nashville, as well as nearby destinations such as Ashland City, Belle Meade, Brentwood, Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Kingston Springs, Lakewood and Pleasant View. Public transport tends to be grouped on the ground transportation level of the main terminal building.

Buses

Buses are available at Nashville International Airport, with the main service being operated by the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA). These particular buses travel into Nashville on route 18 and the baggage reclaim area provides tickets for this bus.

Shuttles buses are also available at Nashville Airport and these travel to many different locations further afield, including Chattanooga, Knoxville and Tennessee. These shuttle companies include Anytime Transport, the Gray Line Express, Jarmon Clarksville, Nashville Express and Region-Wide Transit, traveling to and from towns and cities within the counties of Davidson, Marshall, Maury and Williamson.

Hotel shuttles, offering a useful door-to-door service, are often just a phone call away. Participating hotel chains include AmeriSuites, Best Western, Courtyard, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, Marriott, Radission, Red Roof, Super 8 and Wingate.

Taxi Cabs

Taxis are available outside of the airport's passenger terminal of the ground transportation level. The taxi cabs provide a convenient and easy way to travel into nearby Nashville city. Official BNA should be used at all times to ensure safety and also to avoid possibly being overcharged. Taxis firms include Allied Taxi Cabs, Checker Taxi Cabs, Diamond Taxi Cabs, Grand Old Taxis, Kennedy, Nashville Taxi Cabs, United and Yellow Cabs.

The taxi meters start with a flat fee, which is then incremented for every mile traveled. Fixed charges are applicable for trips to the Opryland hotel area, although there may be additional charges for extra passengers.

Limousines

Limousines can be booked in advance or from the Ground Transportation Information counters. They can be leased at an hourly rate if required, although minimum charges may apply. Local limo companies include Alpha, Bestway Transportation, Black Diamond, Cool Springs, Matchless, Metro Livery, Signature, Silver Oak and VIP Transport.
